Starting Location:            Between the orange flags on the Stake and Committee Boats, or drop mark and Committee Boat, located between Horseshoe Reef, Buoy N 26, and the SW point of Groton Long Point.

First Warning:                     0955 AM, EDT.

Courses:            Will be selected by the Race Committee based upon prevailing conditions, and as outlined in the Sailing Instructions.

Rules:            The Regatta will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing 2005-2008, the prescriptions of the US Sailing Association, and the Sailing Instructions. Participants are required to meet minimum equipment requirements described in the ECSA yearbook.

Classes:            Boats will be handicapped using PHRF-LIS and will be divided into several classes as determined by the Race Committee. All Classes will be scored  using the time on-time system.  Ensigns will be one-design.  Day sailors and boats under 22 ft. LOA are not eligible to race.

Onshore Location:            Ram Island Yacht Club, Noank, Connecticut.

Trophies:            1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies will be awarded to each class.

Contributions:            There is no set contribution for this race. In past years, you have been most generous, and we appreciate your continued support.

Entries:            Please send your entry form, mailed to you with your invitation, along with a copy of your current PHRF certificate. Please draw a check payable to Ram Island Yacht Club, Inc,. Entries Close:            Entries must be received no later than 15 August 2008. We ask that you register early.

Social Events/Awards:            Saturday 16th            5 PM to 7 PM, Pre-race hamburger and beer/soda party.

Skippers and their crews are cordially invited to attend. Scratch Sheets, Sailing Instructions, Party Tickets, and Mount Gay Hats will be available from afternoon and early evening. SIs and Scratch Sheets will not be available on the Committee Boat. A patrol boat will be available in the vicinity of the starting line with SIs and Scratch Sheets.

                                    Sunday 17th      0955 AM, first gun.

Race participants and guests are invited to the Clubhouse following the race for our legendary post-race party. Parking is very limited, so please car pool where possible.
